Your Hosts
You are assured of a warm and friendly welcome from Alastair and Liz Carey (and quite probably from their golden retriever, Mattie and black labs, Wellie and Bella). Alastair, who trained in hotel management, runs two catering operations (one in London the other in Hampshire), whilst Liz runs the Health Centre at a nearby public school. They have three children, Charlie (girl), Ben and J-J (girl).

Breakfast
If you are a bed and breakfast guest (as opposed to self catering), this will available in the downstairs area of the barn. We offer two options - The Continental and the Self Cook Full English. The Continental is fully prepared by us and left in the fridge whilst the Full English (ingredients provided by us) will require you to cook using the self catering facilities at your disposal.
In both cases, freshly baked croissants will be left at an agreed time.
Self Catering
One of the advantages of self catering is that you can effectively ‘do your own thing’. All the facilities are provided to ensure that you are ‘self sufficient’ throughout your stay. You don’t even need to provide your own towels (unless you plan to pop to the beach) as all linen is provided. There is a shop (and post office) down in the village and supermarkets less than three miles away in Alton itself.
Tennis
There is an all weather tennis court on site which can be made available to you. Tennis coaching can also be arranged.
